"That’s enough dredging, enough wondering what could be done for things for which nothing can be done."

I feel for this sensitive, tormented person. You always inspire feelings, Victor.

Thanks for checking it out and dropping a comment, Jim. Much appreciated. Glad you [enjoyed] it... or whatever the right word is. As I mentioned in another comment, I never seem to know what I'm going to pub until the last minute.... Thanks again!

Thanks you, James. Kind of painful, I suppose. Next time, something different... maybe.... I never seem to know in advance.

I also was taken by the question what could be done for things for which nothing can be done. It seems the first movement towards where the answer lives is being able to tolerate what can't be tolerated. Here accomplished. I don't know, Victor David-- you seem tapped into something that's really a lot. Not just here but in general.

Thank you Peter. You give me a lot to think about with tolerating what can't be tolerated. It has a resonance for sure. I do try to tap in, as you put in, and will continue. Many thanks again for reading and sharing your thoughts. I hope your new year 2025 is getting off to a good start!

This story really spoke to me. I recently put a mortally wounded dove out of its misery. It had been attacked by a cat that my dog had run off. I knew I must act to end its suffering, but felt terrible guilt afterwards. Thank you for exploring this issue in the story, Victor. It meant a lot to me.

Yes, that's very hard to do, for sure. This is an old story, a bit updated recently, but from the way backs. Many thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts, KC. It means a lot to me, too.

Glad to wake up from my months-long reverie to another great piece of writing by the storied Victor San Diego. This was touching, in an odd way (it is "oddified fiction", after all). Short and semi-sweet - a good one.

Thank you, Mike. Not just for your kind comment, but for sending an alive signal. Mexico Listo has been quiet. I was about to send out a search party. Hope all is well at your end. Send me an email if you need something. Thanks again! Good to hear from you.

You mean like a job? No worries. Even though I'm retired now, I remember job days and understand completely. Looking forward to Mexico Listo coming out with a new one!
