Good god, Victor. I don't have the words to comment on this piece intelligently. I can only say it fired off every emotion I am capable of.

Wow, that sounds like some things hit home for you, Sharron. Thank you. I never know how things are going to go, it seems, but I'm glad you enjoyed(?) it and many thanks for reading and for your comment.

This story feels very earnest - I read it accompanied by a steady drumbeat of doom, conjured by the words themselves. It is impressive. Wherever the idea came from, you've done it justice (as opposed to the "justice" done in the story itself).

Yeah, the justice flavor in the story is part of the contradiction, which I suppose one doesn't need to look far in real life to see, but no more soapbox, better a coffee and a doughnut. Many thanks for reading and commenting, Mike. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

@Victor D. Sandiego Those words that "dropped out of school because they removed the dictionaries" landed helter-skelter on wrinkled ground criss-crossed by rabbit trails that led me home. How? I don't know, but what a ride. gracias.

Thanks Joyce, glad you enjoyed the ride, rabbit trails and all!
