This piece is so powerful, Victor. My old head is exploding with the overwhelming visuals, sounds, smells. It feels very much like being solidly hit with morphine. Yeeeow!
You have read two Rudys, thank you very much Sharron. I will probably retire him for now and come up with something else :) Thanks again and isn't morphine fun? I had it once in the hospital... whoa....
I personally, would not say "fun". Brain-scrambling, thats for sure. On morphine, I saw spiders crawling up the walls and the clock running backward. And that is more than you need to know... ha ha ha
The economy with words in your short stories to me is evocative of Hemingway and Cormac McCarthy, with a twist of lime (or should I say limón?) that is all you own. Great stuff.
Thank you Mike. Very kind of you. And I really appreciate your support, it means a lot. Twist of limón, that sound good. We've got a few trees here and one is limón, pretty nice to walk out and pick a couple in the morning..:)
This is fantastic. The lovechild of Gertrude Stein and Hemingway, who of course made Alice B. Toklas feel betrayed so she slipped a half-tab of acid into the baby's formula. Looking forward to whatever you've got next.
Thank you, Sandhya. Your words mean a lot to me. And not just the words here. I've read some your articles and you have a ferocious eloquence that really kicks. Many thanks for reading and I look forward to reading more of your work as well.

Thanks Mitchell. Appreciate your support. I sometimes experiment with different stuff like the split lines, glad you liked it!
