Life does come at us, brother. And death. I feel for the loss of your friend. This resonates: "You’ve got to rip it up by the roots every couple of years and shove it into other soil".

This one too, captures my attention. I think of you sometimes when I'm reading George Saunders' book on writing. I think, I bet Victor would love this! I do and I'm hardly ever a fiction writer. :)

Yes I have the book and the PBS series on DVD but make it simple Utube has the 8 minute video The Humbling of Indra with Campbell and Bill Moyer.

This myth gave me understanding of , that nothing is permanent other than on/off, yinyang, front and back and most important every inside most have an outside all boxes have inside and outside

Although a Klein bottle the inside and outside are the same

Well my dog remembers when he was Indra and throw the thunder bolt and said what a good boy am I and working is way up from sn ant through many life spans and one more step to human life

Yep the mistakes and sins we pile on in our mind , that are never forgotten ; as we slowly forget the ones that cared and trusted us.

Hell is not a deep abyss , it is buried in our mind. No matter how much we follow the middle way , the razors edge our own sins never go away.
