My ancient brain cannot comprehend your meaning here, Victor, but that is on ME, not you. However, I have to say that THIS line really rings true, and is totally in sync with my little grey cells, "Somewhere between birth and absolution, unsure that my instincts would guide me." A perfect description of life, my friend. I am glad my instincts led to smart, fortuitous life choices, all the while believing that the errors I made, the bad choices, were nothing more than learning. Thanks for this piece, Victor. As always, you made me think.
Thank you Sharron. I'm not always sure what I mean either, but I know I mean it. I go with my instincts and figure it out later. And I hope my bad choices were nothing more than learning, too. I want to keep learning and never stop. I really appreciate that you said I've given you something to think about. As it says on my About page, that's my intention. And it's also about giving me something to think about, which is why I write the way I do, which circles back to learning, keeping mind and body and spirit active.
Lots of great lines in this piece Victor. The more times I read it, the deeper it gets. But the last paragraph speaks to me the most. I have been there.
Yes. You've been there. I've been there. And it's good to know we have fellow travelers on our journey. Glad you enjoyed the piece and many thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts, K.C. Much appreciated.
This story is dense, like fruitcake - but unlike fruitcake it is something we want and need. Thank you for this slice of nourishment. I will skip breakfast today.
Thank you Mike. I'm glad you found something of value in this short piece. But don't forget to nourish the body, too. That - as you and I both know - can be handled with some good coffee (and maybe a doughnut). Thanks again...

"I cried, brushed the dirt from my neglected truth, flipped my soul face up to the light."
I loved this resolution at the end, Victor.
Thank you, Jim. Glad you liked how it wrapped up, strange journey and all. Appreciate very much hearing your thoughts, friend.
