Morning appointment, my punishment. I failed to obey some commandments, not quite theological, not exactly secular, let’s say somewhere between revenge and redemption. Well, that’s quite a range so to narrow it down…
Thanks for another great story, Victor. There was so much in this one that seemed relatable, it really resonated with me (thematically, not literally as I still have my hands, feet). And congratulations on the book! I look forward to its release.
Thanks Mike! For reading and for the billboard :) Book in progress, I'll keep folks up to date as it goes. Good you can relate, I'm guessing that's not universal...
Wow... I felt identified when sometimes I do not express my ideas because I assume that other people may not agree...I am accepting the mutilation of my tongue...Oh never again.
I am enjoying reading your work and another silver-tongued writer, Mike Levy. No issue with the timing of your response. I often tell myself, "The timing is the timing". I forgot where I stole that from. Did I mention I am a word thief? "All words are borrowed", my writing teacher, Andy Couturier, politely reminds me. I'd argue with him it is how we re-construct words that makes it fun to read. Hollywood (for the most part) likes happy endings. I do not live there. My comment to you was tongue in cheek. So many idioms with the word "tongue". I do not speak in tongues, only Spanish, my native language and English.
Yes, the timing is the timing and now I'm stealing from you who has forgotten where you stole it and that's just as good as can be. I agree with you on the reconstruction of words, although I understand what Andy C. is saying. I speak Spanish and English, too, although I should probably reverse the order of that phrase since Spanish came second. Also, still learning. Both tongues, I mean. Many thanks Elva!
Holding my breath, I stayed cheery through the entire story waiting for the sweet metaphor, happy analogy, silver lining, or some calmingly consolation. Still waiting ...
I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, Eva. Sometimes, it's just the way it goes with me. Not always (should I say rarely??) a happy ending. Many thanks for reading!

The billboard is in the works.

Yes indeed, that's one way to (metaphorically) mutilate the tongue. Thanks for reading Mónica and for the insight!

I sure like your stories!
Thanks much James. Appreciate it!
Nope, me neither and I don't think it's actually coming to this. At least not yet. Thanks for reading!
Thanks Garrett. Work in progress getting it assembled and it's coming along. Thanks for reading!
You're right Edward. He hung in there, actually hadn't consciously thought that. Good observation my friend!
